Reclaimed cedar chest framed in American walnut.
A simple cedar chest that was "found" and beckoned for a new life. With the utmost care as to not compromise the patina achieved through its years of use it was refinished and framed in walnut to bring out the warm, rich tones of the cedar.
"The Simple Bench" in reclaimed fir and paint.
This version of the simple bench was designed for a 36" counter height and topped with a piece of history. The top is a reclaimed beam from the Hingham shipyard scaffolding, complete with burn marks from the dropped rivets.
"The Fold" in Bubinga and painted base.
With its simple sleek lines and contrasting base The Fold draws your eye to selection of its crown. This version is a pairing of bubinga with a contrasting white base to showcase the striking grain and color of this exotic wood.
Rustic Farmhouse table.-
This table was created using beams from a dismantled church built in the 1880's at a clients request. Custom sized for their unique space and featuring the "Simple Bench" to contrast the tables square lines.
Distressed hard rock maple table.-
This one of a kind table was created for a client to compliment the custom kitchen that I had recently created for them. The table is of distressed maple and using traditional joinery methods. Notice the exposed end grains of the legs as a feature on the table top.
